How does an intelligent motion sensor work?
Leave a message
Most intelligent motion sensors use passive infrared (PIR) technology. PIR sensors detect infrared energy emitted by humans and other animals as body temperature. Therefore, if the temperature suddenly increases, your device will detect it and notify the system's control panel. The PIR sensor can be programmed to ignore small temperature changes, so you don't have to worry about your pet accidentally triggering an alarm.
The motion sensor can be used to turn on the lights when someone approaches your home, issue an alarm when movement is detected in the living room, or trigger the motion sensor camera to start recording when someone enters your home.
Advantages of motion sensors:
The following are the advantages of active and passive motion sensors:
1. It is suitable for harsh environments with irregular thermal cycles (active motion sensors).
2. It has a longer service life of approximately 100000 hours (active).
3. It reliably detects movement in bright and dark indoor conditions. (Passive motion sensor)
4. It helps improve security by detecting suspicious movements.
5. The installation of the motion sensor is simple.
